BLUE & GREEN SCHOOLS IN ESTONIA
Within the framework of the Erasmus+ Program Cooperation Partnerships in School Education (KA220-SCH), our Directorate’s “Blue & Green Schools Project” has been approved with a grant support of 250,000 Euros.
The “Blue & Green Schools Project,” which has been carried out by our Directorate for two years, is expanding to Europe under the title “Integration of Environmental Sustainability Activities into Science Education with Innovative Digital Tools / Blue & Green Schools” as part of the Erasmus+ KA220-SCH program. In this context, the kick-off meetings of our project—coordinated by Türkiye and involving 8 partners from 7 different European countries—were held in Akyaka on February 28-29, 2024. Speaking at the project’s opening meeting, our Provincial Director, Mr. Emre Çay, stated: “Our primary goal with this project, which began locally in recent years and is now continuing on an international scale, is to raise generations with high environmental awareness and sensitivity toward nature. In this era where the importance of energy conservation increases every day, we continue to work with all our strength to increase the awareness of our students. We are immensely pleased that our local project has begun to be implemented in different countries around the world.”
At the end of the program, Certificates of Participation were presented to our project partners by our Provincial Director of National Education, Mr. Emre ÇAY.
BLUE & GREEN SCHOOLS IN ESTONIA The first stop on the European journey of the Blue & Green Schools Project—under the title “Integration of Environmental Sustainability Activities into Science Education with Innovative Digital Tools”—was Estonia. A project presentation and evaluation meeting was held in Estonia between July 07-13, 2024.
